Where do I pick up my keys?
If you are renting a Port Aransas Property You will come to the Starkey office located next to Ace hardware. In the "Shops of Port A" at 1115 Hwy 361 Suite D.
If you are renting a Rockport Property, please call our offices at 361-790-5311 to make arrangements to pick up your keys.
Is the unit I am interested in available?
To check availability, click on the Reserve Online link and enter in the dates you wish to stay.
Is the beach clean and accessible?
The beach is maintained by the city, and they do the best they can to keep it clean and safe for all of our visitors.
The beach is free and accessible to drive on, so pack up your car and come spend the day.
What do I do if I am planning to arrive after office hours?
First you need to contact the office at 361-749-3591 to arrange for late arrival and to get your keys.
What do we do if we have an emergency after your office is closed?
We have a 24 hour answering service, that will pick up emergency calls only! Please call us at 361-749-3591.
Does your properties allow pets?
Guest understands that pets are allowed in “ONLY” pet friendly properties. Violators will be asked to leave with no refund, and will be charged a $500.00 clean up fee. We will allow one pet no larger than 25 lbs. unless otherwise stated in the property description. You are instructed that the pet must be on a leash when outside or at the beach. If an unauthorized pet in found in any unit you will be asked to leave without refund.
Do I have to bring sheets and towels?
No, all our properties are supplied with one set of sheets for all beds. Bath towels are supplied per number of people the house sleeps.
Is the kitchen equipped?
The kitchen has coffee pot, toaster, pots, pans, flatware, dishes. Only some properties have a blender.
How old do I have to be to rent a property?
The age requirement is 25 years of age, and you will be required to show ID for verification.
Does everyone in my party have to be 25 years of age or older?

What is Self Catering?
All our units are self catering and offer no maid service during the stay. We supply the start up supply of paper products. You will need to purchase or bring garbage bags, paper towels, coffee filters and bath tissue, as well as dishwashing soaps and bath soaps and laundry soap. For your convenience there is a grocery store on the Island and a Wal-Mart in Aransas Pass and an HEB Plus in Flour Bluff.
All our properties are fully furnished with linens bed and bath linens, you will need to bring your own beach towels. We do not offer daily towel service but many of our units have washers and dryers. All kitchens are equipped with pots, pans and dishes, and large & small appliances. Any specialty items you wish to cook with you will need to bring with you.
What does the Amenity Boardwalk to the beach mean?
Any unit with the description board walk to beach means that the subdivision the home is located in supplies a board walk. The home you are renting is not necessarily near the board walk. Some homes may be 3-4 blocks from the boardwalk. In addition the board walk goes over 2 sets of dunes before reaching the beach.
What does the Amenity Walk to Beach mean?
All Starkey Properties are within a ˝ mile from the beach. It can be walked but please be aware there are limited beach access roads so the walk may be closer to 1-2 miles depending on how far the access road is from your property.
However you can drive on Texas beaches so no matter where your home is located you can always load up your car with family, beach toys and snacks and drive to the beach and park near the water. Be sure to plan accordingly so you can have the best stay possible.
Why can I not book online for same day arrival?
On line booking availability starts 2 days from the current date, even though the unit is available you can not book it online within 48 hrs of arrival. This allows us time to process the payments, get the signature on the reservations agreement and inspect the property to make sure that it is ready for rental. If you would like to arrive within 48 hours we encourage you to call into the office to make your reservation. Our sales staff will be able to help you schedule your visit and prepare your unit for your vacation.
